About The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Accredited Dietitian (DA) to become a part of a proactive company and work collaboratively with our other Dietitians, Exercise Physiologist, and Diabetes Educator along with other allied health and medical staff.
You will be working across medical centers, and allied health facilities within Ipswich, Springfield and Jindalee with a fortnightly outreach loop to Warwick (2 days back to back each fortnight). The successful applicant will be working on a part time basis (2-3 days per week) including two Saturdays per month, and will be servicing medical centres and allied health facilities which have an established referral base.
New graduates are welcome to apply however experience will be of value.
**Please note:Â The successful applicant will be stepping into an existing workload of a staff member who is transitioning from full to part time.
Position will begin immediately upon successful applicant interview.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide evidence-based nutrition advice and treatment in the areas of chronic disease prevention and management, eating disorders, bariatric management and body composition management.
- Measure and assess the patients’ diet history along with interpreting biochemistry and anthropometric data.
- Public speaking- to present informative talks about a range of health topics on nutrition/health where required including supermarket tours.
- Travel to the required service delivery location and provide exemplary service to your clients. Drivers License and own car is required.
Skills and Experience:
- Accredited (Provisional or Full) Dietitian through the Dietitians Australia (DA) (ESSENTIAL).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain rapport.
- Possess and apply knowledge of evidence based treatment, management and research about a wide range of health issues and diseases including diabetes, obesity, malnutrition, cardiovascular disease, applicable in the field of dietetics.
