Australian Dietary Guidelines: What Needs to Change?
About the webinar:
In 2020, the NHMRC announced the review of the Australian Dietary Guidelines. This four-year process involves looking at the best and most recent scientific evidence to guide updates to current recommendations. A lot has changed since the 2013 Guidelines were released, so what should dietitians expect to be covered as part of this review? And how do our current guidelines compare to those around the world? Join Dr Joanna McMillan in this webinar as she delves into sustainability, processed foods, the dairy matrix, edible oils, chrononutrition and nutrition communication.Â
Key learning outcomes:
- Understand which elements of the Australian Dietary Guidelines are most requiring an update in line with recent scientific evidence.
- Have clarity on current nutrition topics which may be relevant to add to our dietary guidelines.
- Be aware of how our guidelines compare to other countries and what can we learn from this.
