Biographies
Angela Ginn-Meadow, RD, RN, CDCES, has improved clinical outcomes for patients over the past 15 years as a Diabetes Care and Education expert. Through her career she has provided education to numerous adults and children during the lifecycle. She is passionate about health, wellness and obesity prevention. Ginn’s innovation of diabetes program management has been instrumental in ADA accreditation and CDC recognition for UMCDE DSME/DPP programs. As a community change agent for the development of wrap around services to improve social inequalities of health. She was recently appointed as Advisory Board President for Morgan State Food and Nutrition science program to promote nutrition careers for minority students. Ginn-Meadow is a scientific advisor for the Grain Foods Foundation as she serves as a Diabetes Expert. She graduated with honors from Morgan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition.
Kathaleen Briggs Early, PhD, RDN, CDCES, is an associate professor of nutrition at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) in Yakima, WA. She teaches medical and other health professions students about obesity, diabetes, nutrition, and chronic disease prevention and management. She earned a doctorate in nutrition from Washington State University and has published research addressing quality of life; rural and Latino diabetes disparities; and nutrition education in medical school. She also sees patients at a free clinic, where she provides diabetes education and medical nutrition therapy for this underserved population. Kathy is also a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
Joy Bauer, MS, RDN, CDN, one of America’s leading health authorities, is the nutrition and healthy lifestyle expert for NBC’s TODAY show.
