About Us:

The Queensland Centre for Digestive Medicine is a leading specialist clinic servicing a wide range of Gastrointestinal conditions for patients within the Darling Downs and surrounding regions. Our diverse team includes Gastroenterologists, Dietitians and Nurses, who are committed to excellence in patient-centred care. We are seeking a compassionate Dietitian to join our private practice for maternity leave cover.

About the Role:

With an immediate caseload, our clinic offers a mix of private practice and inpatient care.

We offer private practice consultations for patients referred to by GP and Specialist clinics including:

• Gastrointestinal Conditions such as IBS, IBD, Coeliac disease, reflux, liver disease and food intolerances
• Chronic Disease Management such as diabetes, cardiovascular health, kidney disease and weight management
• Eating Disorder Management and Counselling
• NDIS related nutritional care including, assessment, planning, documentation and reporting

Inpatient care includes:

• Comprehensive nutritional assessments
• Nutrition planning and monitoring
• Malnutrition screening, intervention, and follow-up
• Collaborating with medical teams to support recovery and discharge planning

You will be supported by our clinic’s administrative staff for managing your diary and patient billing.

This is a Part Time maternity leave cover for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Flexibility in work days and hours is available for the right candidate, however we are ideally seeking availability between 2 to 4 days per week (up to 34 hours per week). Role commences early April.

About Our Successful Candidate:

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Current APD status with Dietitians Australia
• Preferred 4+ years experience in private practice
• Credentialling and training in Eating Disorders is desired
• Experience or a strong interest in gastrointestinal nutrition (FODMAP training desirable)
• Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, NDIS, and private billing (desirable)
