About the Masterclass:

Children with gastroparesis often struggle to consume the energy and nutrients required. In addition to nutrition modifications, knowing when and how to escalate to enteral feeding is key to prevent malnutrition or impaired growth.

Join pediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Katja Karrento, as she examines the full nutrition care continuum. You’ll learn the latest in gastroparesis diagnostics as it relates to advocating for your patients that require specialized care, and how to navigate oral and enteral feeding considerations when faced with common GI challenges.

After the webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • Understand the landscape of diagnostic testing for pediatric gastroparesis
  • Describe the nutrition factors for malnutrition and impaired growth in pediatric gastroparesis
  • Understand recommended evidence-based nutrition interventions
About the speaker:

Dr. Katja Karrento is a Professor of Pediatrics and Director of Research and Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome programs at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
