About the webinar:

Australia has the highest rate of childhood food allergies in the world (1), but could modifying the microbiome help? In this webinar, paediatric allergist Professor John Sinn explores the emerging role of prebiotics, such as human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), and probiotics in reducing allergy risk. With a focus on children at increased risk, he’ll unpack current research on microbiome modulation and what it could mean for early intervention. Drawing on his clinical and research experience, Professor Sinn will discuss the potential of microbiome-targeted strategies and the practical considerations for clinical care.

About the speaker:

Professor John Sinn is a paediatric allergist at The Paediatric Allergy Centre, located in Chatswood, Sydney. His interests include the desensitisation of both food and aeroallergens. He also explores the modification of the microbiome as part of the journey towards developing tolerance to allergens.
