About the webinar:
Protein, movement, sleep, stress management. You’ve likely heard about these familiar pieces of the longevity and healthy aging puzzle. But what about micronutrients?
Join Professor Renée Blaauw, PhD, as she covers how to spot patients at risk of micronutrient insufficiencies and provide individualized counseling to support multi-micronutrient intake. We’ll focus on midlife stages, when low intake, physiological changes and common medications all compromise micronutrient and omega-3 status.
After the session, attendees will be able to:
- Describe how mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, inflammaging, and immunosenescence affect micronutrient status from midlife onward
- Identify how dietary intake, physiological changes, and common medications can compromise micronutrient and omega-3 status in aging adults
- Assess nutritional risk and selected biomarkers, including the omega-3 index, to guide individualized counseling on multi-micronutrient intake strategies
