About the Masterclass:

Gut microbiome science is rapidly evolving but applying it in practice requires clarity on which interventions work, when, and why. In this practical masterclass, integrative GP Dr Michelle Woolhouse focuses on evidence-based strategies to support gut integrity and microbiome health, with an emphasis on targeted use of prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics. Dietitian Belinda Reynolds dives into the mechanisms and clinical outcomes associated with specific interventions, including Lab4 probiotic strains and Saccharomyces boulardii.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Recognise the drivers of gut integrity imbalance, including food additives and medications;
  • Differentiate between prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics, including their mechanisms of action and contribution to gut health
  • Explain the role of the intestinal barrier and its interaction with targeted probiotic strains and adjunct ingredients, like inulin; and
  • Match probiotic strategies to common gut-related conditions
