About the Lunch & Learn:

Eating patterns are changing, with many people opting for smaller, more frequent eating occasions throughout the day. Join dietitian Alison Baldwin for this 30-minute Lunch & Learn to explore how you can help clients make every eating occasion count. Gain evidence-based insights into today’s evolving eating patterns and walk away with realistic, food-first strategies to support better nutrition, metabolic health, and long-term outcomes in practice.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Describe the impact of reduced appetite, smaller eating occasions, and ‘snackification’ trends on nutrition adequacy and metabolic health
  • Explain the role of fibre and whole grains in supporting satiety, glycaemic control, gut health, and overall metabolic health, and identify opportunities to increase intake in clinical practice.
  • Recommend practical wholegrain-based meal and snack solutions that help clients maximise nutrient intake in every bite, particularly for nutrients such as protein, fibre and calcium.

About the sponsor:

The Arnott’s Group (TAG) has delighted consumers for over 160 years. We make over 1,045 products across Australia, New Zealand and Asia and are the custodians of some of Australia’s most recognised food brands, including Vita-Weat. Made using 100% specially selected varieties of Australian whole grain wheat, Arnott’s unique Vita-Weat process ensures the wheat grains are cooked whole and then milled to extract all the nutrients before being baked perfectly to produce a crisp wholesome cripsbread. Vita-Weat is made with natural ingredients and each serve provides a source of dietary fibre and around 20g of whole grains, which is more than 40% of the whole grain Daily Target Intake recommended by Grains & Legumes Nutrition CouncilTM. Vita-Weat is also a source of vitamin B3 which, in combination with good quality carbohydrates, helps to balance physical and mental energy during the day. TAG’s mission is to create delicious moments in all that we do, every day, and with everything we make. We’re committed to operating within the natural boundaries of the planet, ensuring that we source and make our products sustainably and connect to the communities in which we operate.
