About the webinar:
Eczema and food allergy are among the most common childhood conditions, with growing evidence highlighting the important role of nutrition and the gut microbiome in their development and management. In this webinar, dietitian Melanie McGrice, President of the Early Life Nutrition Alliance, will explore the relationship between the gut microbiome, the atopic march, eczema and allergic disease in paediatric populations. Melanie will discuss evidence-based microbiome-targeted nutrition strategies in the context of eczema and allergy prevention and management. She’ll also translate the evidence into practical recommendations dietitians can apply in their own practice, drawing on her own lived experience as a parent. You’ll leave the session feeling empowered to support families in navigating the complex eczema and allergy journey through the gut microbiome.
About the speaker:
Melanie McGrice is President of the Early Life Nutrition Alliance, which has trained more than 1,000 dietitians worldwide to specialise in early life nutrition. She was named Dietitian of the Year at the Australian Allied Health Awards and has built a YouTube community of more than 70,000 followers. As the foster carer of 10 babies (and counting), Melanie also brings firsthand experience to her work supporting families during the first 1,000 days.
