About the webinar:

Blenderised tube feeds (BTF) are transforming nutrition support, giving families more choice and flexibility while meeting nutritional needs. Join dietitians Kate Dehlsen and Rachel Lindeback as they take you through the latest Australian and international guidelines on BTF and how to apply them in practice. They’ll share practical strategies to prevent complications, outline the essential steps for creating nutritionally complete blends and demonstrate how to adapt recipes to suit individual needs. You’ll also gain practical tips for using the IDDSI framework to assess and adjust feed thickness with confidence.

About the speakers:

Kate Dehlsen is a senior paediatric dietitian specialising in gastroenterology nutrition. She works with children with complex gastrointestinal disorders including intestinal failure, liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease and allergic GI disorders, including CMPI, EoE and FPIES. Kate has several published research papers in the areas of intestinal failure, blenderised tube feeding, pancreatitis, coeliac disease and exclusive enteral nutrition.

Rachel Lindeback is a senior Paediatric Dietitian and the Team Leader at St George Hospital in Kogarah, Sydney. Rachel has published research in Blended Tube Feeds, Nutrition in Neuromuscular Conditions and Diet Quality in children with renal disease, and has been involved in QI projects streamlining post operative gastrostomy insertion processes and managing outpatient dietetic services. She is particularly passionate about ensuring up to date, evidenced based care is provided to her patients in the most innovative, effective and resource efficient way possible.
