Bollen Health is coordinating a Healthy Ageing/ Frailty workshop on behalf of Brisbane North PHN on Monday 16 Nov 2026, 6-9 pm.
Venue: Kedron Wavell, Chermside, QLD

We would love to have a dietitian with a special interest in older people to speak that evening. The speaker would present for 15 minutes, with an extra 5 minutes for questions, to an audience of GPs, nurses, and allied health.

Topics include assessing the risk of malnutrition, protein requirements for older people, and ideas for fortifying food to help older people manage their protein intake.

A case study will be distributed to the speakers to support their presentation. The aim of the workshop is to support the education of primary care team members on what can be done to manage frailty in the community (not RACH) once it is recognised.

Other speakers who will be presenting are:

-Exercise physiologist- the evidence behind building muscle and improving our healthy ageing

-Pharmacist- issues surrounding potentially inappropriate medications and their impact on older people’s ageing trajectory

-GP with an interest in social prescribing

The dietitian will be paid to present.
