Almost 1 million Australian adults (5% of the population) have Type 2 Diabetes – and the prevalence of this chronic disease is increasing. In this webinar, dietitian Geraldine Georgeou will explore the tools every dietitian should have in their toolbox for managing Type 2 Diabetes (T2D). She will touch on the food first approach and provide practical examples for using medical nutrition therapy in dietetics practice.

About the speaker:

Geraldine Georgeou is a well-experienced Accredited Practising Dietitian with over 20 years’ in the industry. Gaining experience from Prince of Wales Hospital, Geraldine has contributed to helping the Australian Navy, consulting to Diabetes Australia and being a familiar face in the media. Geraldine works at The Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney and is a Member of the Council for the Gut Foundation. She has authored “The Gut Foundation Cook Book” and “The Australian Healthy Skin Diet”. Her expertise in clinical dietetics and nutrition has helped a vast majority of people who have suffered from metabolic and gastrointestinal health issues together with dermatology, rheumatology and disease prevention and management. She has two Sydney clinics practicing under the name of Designer Diets TM.
