Challenges with nutritional intake and mealtimes are highly prevalent for children with either autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Sub-optimal nutrition can have many effects upon a child’s physical and cognitive function and can impact the entire family unit. This webinar, presented by dietitian Maddie Todd, looks at the contributing factors to feeding difficulties and explores some of the dietetic assessment and management strategies you can consider when supporting your clients with these diagnoses. Maddie will also present case studies which highlight key considerations and strategies to support dietetic interventions with these children and their families.

 

About the speaker:

Maddie Todd graduated as a Dietitian from the University of Newcastle in 2009 and has since obtained a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and a Master of Business Administration. Maddie has a background in paediatrics, diabetes management, aboriginal health and management and has extensive experience working with clients with disabilities. She has recently launched her own business – Hatch Dietetics. Hatch specialises in working with people with disabilities, fertility, pregnancy and post-partum nutrition and gut health and wellbeing.
