About the symposium:

How can dietitians empower their clients to eat more sustainably? Join us in our upcoming symposium to find out! In this 1.5-hour live event, we’re joined by three experts with three different perspectives: research, consumer insights & local food systems.

  • Dr Gilly Hendrie, nutrition research scientist, CSIRO – pinpoints key features of current Australian dietary patterns that make them sustainable and what this means for behaviour change
  • Samantha Siva, Research Director, Pollinate – presents new consumer insights on what motivates people to eat sustainably
  • Professor Karen Charlton, School of Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences, UOW – highlights opportunities for dietitians to support sustainable eating by applying a food systems approach at the community level
