About the presenter Melissa Armstrong, AdvAPD, CDE graduated as a dietitian from the University of Sydney in 1985. She has held positions in a variety of hospital settings in Australia and the UK. She has been the Senior Clinical Dietitian at the St Vincent’s Hospital Diabetes Centre, Sydney, since 1995. Melissa holds adjunct lectureships at the University of Technology (Sydney), Charles Sturt University (Wagga) and the University of Canberra. She is a member of the Australian Diabetes Educators Association Clinical Practice Committee, the NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation’s Diabetes Network Models of Care Committee and the External Working Party for the Postgraduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management (UTS). More recently, she has been appointed as a director of Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) for a two-year term.
