Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) has developed healthy, balanced main meal guidelines to make it easy for main meal preparers to make small changes to their current main meal repertoire without too much effort, additional expense or compromising taste preferences.
The guidelines provide a meal context for applying the Australian Dietary Guidelines and Health Star Rating which reflects how typical Australian main meal preparers think, plan, make and talk about main meal choices and preparation.
Veronique Droulez, Nutrition Manager at MLA will explain the evidence underpinning the guidelines.
