About the webinar:

The nutritional management of children with Short Bowel Syndrome is complex. In this webinar, dietitian Amy Andrews will detail the clinical management and nutritional priorities of children with this condition. She will also highlight different nutrition strategies that may help to promote intestinal adaptation.

 

About the speaker:

Amy Andrews is an Advanced Clinician – Paediatric Dietitian working for Starship Child Health and the NZ National Intestinal Failure and Rehabilitation Service in Auckland, New Zealand. Her specialist areas include intestinal failure and rehabilitation, gastroenterology, intravenous nutrition and liver disease. Amy is a member of AuSPEN paediatric sub-committee, Dietitians NZ Paediatric Committee and works with national networks for gastroenterology and intestinal failure in NZ.  She also lectures for two NZ masters programmes and continues her role for the Paediatric Society of NZ as the NZ Child and Youth Clinical Network – Gastroenterology services facilitator. Amy has presented research on paediatric intestinal failure and paediatric inflammatory bowel disease at several conferences.
