Presenter: Kristie Bell

Dr Kristie L Bell (PhD) has over 15 years of clinical dietetic experience and is currently Clinical Lead Dietitian (Ambulatory Care and Rehabilitation) at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, Brisbane.  She has a particular interest and recognised expertise in the area of cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities and in the nutritional assessment of hospitalised infants and children.  She has been invited to participate in international round table meetings to develop recommendations for the nutritional management of children with cerebral palsy. Dr Bell holds a concurrent position as a Senior Research Fellow with the Queensland Cerebral Palsy and Rehabilitation Research Centre at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. Within this role, she is chief investigator on two National Health and Medical Research Council funded studies investigating the influence of feeding difficulties, diet, physical activity, growth and body composition on health outcomes, participation and health related quality of life in children with cerebral palsy.
