About the webinar:
Recent years have seen a surge in popularity of eating patterns involving intermittent fasting as a way to manage weight and optimise health. These eating patterns call for energy intake to be restricted for a pre-defined period of time and ad libitum at all other times. The two most popular forms of intermittent energy restriction are:
1. The 5:2 diet, characterised by two consecutive or non-consecutive ‘fast’ days
2. Alternate-day fasting, consisting of a ‘fast’ day alternated with a ‘feed’ day
This webinar reviews the health and physiological benefits of intermittent energy restriction over continuous energy restriction.
Please note a recording will be available following the live webinar.
