Dr Megan Rollo is an early career postdoctoral research fellow and accredited practising dietitian (APD) within the Priority Research Centre in Physical Activity and Nutrition at the University of Newcastle. Megan’s research interests centre on developing and validating new methods for the assessment of dietary intake, in particular smartphone image-based food records. In addition, she has interests in the design and evaluation of innovative uses of interactive technologies to enhance dietetic practice and that support individuals to make and sustain healthy behaviours tailored to different life stages and in the management of chronic disease such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. She also leads the National interest group on nutrition informatics for the Dietitians Association of Australia.
