It’s been all over the news, websites and social media this week, with the announcement from World Health Organization (WHO) experts that “eating processed meats like hot dogs, sausages and bacon can cause colorectal cancer in humans, and red meat is also a likely cause of the disease.”

The review was released on Monday (26 October 2015) by WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which also suggested that there was some link between the consumption of red meat and pancreatic cancer and prostate cancer.
