Tell us about yourself and your niche?
I help women improve their relationship with food and their body. I also help RDs, RD-2-be’s and other wellness entrepreneurs (coaches, etc.) grow and build their own businesses. Finally, I help improve the health of large organisations through my work in corporate wellness – I don’t work as a typical RD; my role is in sales and strategy.

How long have you been in your current role?
I started my own business in February 2015. I created dietitiandeanna.com (by myself!) in late 2014 to document my fitness journey. It quickly transitioned to a website focused on my lifestyle, RD journey, travel, and not just food/fitness!

What or who inspires you?

Other women and men who don’t apologise for being whole-heartedly themselves. On social media, I am inspired by people who build online communities and are not just looking for followers or likes.

We loved meeting you at FNCE in 2018. What tips do you have to maximise your time at a dietetic live event or conference?

Reach out to those you want to meet prior to the conference (be bold!) and set up meetings around the sessions you are attending. Introduce yourself to brands you want to work with and make sure you ask them about their marketing and growth plans and how you might help. Talk to everyone, sell yourself! Don’t forget to follow up with those people as well; build your connections.

If you could give one piece of advice to new Dietitians what would it be?

Think outside the box of the typical dietitian role.
