About my job:

I am both a Dietitian and an Exercise Physiologist and own a health coaching business called The Art of Balance health coaching. My work is varied and a typical week involves 2 full days in private practice, 3 days doing a combination of  corporate health and exercise science work and a day writing blogs, newsletters and completing any media work.

What do I love most about my job:

I love the variety of my role. I see a whole range of clients in private practice and in corporate health which keeps me on my toes but I also spend a lot of time writing and presenting seminars. Every day is different!

Why I chose a career in dietetics?

I have always been passionate about health and knew from a young age I wanted a career in the health sector. Food, exercise and sport are my personal passions and I am determined to help people realise that cooking, eating healthy and squeezing exercise into everyday is achievable, rewarding and delicious!

Number 1 tip to somebody starting a career in dietetics?

Be open to any and all opportunities. Dietetics is such a broad field and you won’t know what you want to do until you have had a chance to try a little bit of everything. I am still in the process of trying new roles and am constantly surprising myself with what I do and don’t enjoy.

One interesting fact about me:

I find nothing more rewarding than preparing a delicious healthy meal from food that I have grown myself.
