We have an exciting opportunity currently for a Nutritionist / Dietitian to join our team at Simplot, based in our office in Mentone. This is a 12-month fixed term contract covering a period of parental leave. It is a full-time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week.
The purpose of this role is to assist in implementing Simplot Australia’s Nutrition and Health (Nourish) strategy by acting as a category champion for nutrition and health, providing technical guidance plus health and nutrition insights that influence key stakeholders and drive product growth. This role will also see you champion new product innovation, ensuring alignment with business strategy.

What you will do
- Support the implementation of Simplot’s Nourish strategy by executing category-level plans and ensuring stakeholder alignment with nutrition targets.
- Stay updated on health and nutrition trends, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions and identify market opportunities.
- Input to product innovation and identify nutrition improvement opportunities, offering technical guidance to achieve growth targets and drive sales.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and ensuring evidence-based nutrition and health claims.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in nutrition for designated category portfolios.
About you
- Eligibility for Accredited Practicing Dietitian, Dietitians Australia (DA) or Accredited Nutritionist (NSA)
- Experience in product development, innovation, nutrition, technical guidance, and exposure to brand marketing communications.
- Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen, manage balanced risk, and navigate ambiguity while embracing change and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within teams, leverage problem-solving skills, write reports, and use digital expertise for informed decision-making.
- Ability to align actions with strategic business priorities, demonstrate accountability for results, and manage projects efficiently.
- Possess technical knowledge of food regulations, product innovation processes, and health and nutrition claims legislation.
