New graduate dietitian (provisional APD), interested in dietetic opportunities in the Hunter New England area.

To whom it may concern,

I recently graduated from University of Newcastle with my Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours). I am currently working permanent part-time for St Vincent de Paul Society as an Activities Officer where I run a variety of nutrition-centred programs and manage a small team of volunteers. I also work casually at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital as a Diet Aide.

Prior to attending University owned/managed a small business. I am tech savvy and a great communicator. During my time at University of Newcastle I volunteered as both a Communications Assistant and Program Facilitator for Cancer Councils ‘Eat It to Beat It’ program. I have excellent recommendations from my supervisors and mentors.

I would love an opportunity to start my career as a dietitian in the community or clinical space. I have a special interest in oncology, mental health and disordered eating. Last year I was fortunate to spend one month working at the Mater Calvary in oncology/haematology/radiation-therapy under an amazing supervisor. It was an incredible challenge and I hope to further my knowledge in these area’s. I am also interested in gut health, specifically FODMAPs.

Please feel free to contact me for me information including references.
