Founded in 2012, Dietitian Connection’s (DC) vision is to inspire and empower dietitians to realise their dreams. DC is the trusted source of learning for busy dietitians around the world via our multi-media channels, including weekly e-newsletter, e-magazine, social media, webinars, podcasts, resources and events.  We help to keep our members in touch and at the forefront of the field of nutrition.  We also partner with food and medical nutrition brands to deliver tailored solutions for engaging with dietitians.

The Role

We are now hiring for a Maternity Cover Contract for our Marketing Communications Lead.  The contract will be for 15 months starting in July, with possibility of extension.

As the Marketing Communications Lead, your role is to deliver products and services to inspire and empower DC members to realize their professional dreams through channels such as e-newsletters, podcasts, webinars, resources, digital magazine, events, website and social media.

You will support the delivery of all Medical Nutrition client activations under the guidance of the Account Director – Medical Nutrition.  Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that all communications are consistent with the DC brand and style guidelines.
  • Supporting the Account Director – Medical Nutrition and delivery team to manage the timelines and provide input into key messaging of all client activations including webinars, podcasts, resources, events, e-news and EDM’s.
  • Preparing evidence-based and well-referenced nutrition and/or marketing information (client reports, professional communication materials e.g. reports for HCPs, patient education resources, fact sheets, social media content, sponsored posts and emails)
  • Developing creative marketing plans for activations including podcasts, webinars, Infuse magazine, events and social media.
  • Having awareness of evidence-based communication standards, including food regulations related to nutrition and health claims and the need for compliance.
  • Project management and execution of client sponsored activities, as needed
  • Provide administrative support e.g. meeting agendas and minutes, activity reports, documenting client interactions, as needed
  • Assist with planning and execution of DC events, and attend events as required
  • Special projects and other duties as required

About you

You have an ability to create and produce engaging and evidence-based content for a range of audiences and purposes.  You can critically evaluate nutrition research.  You are an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing with well developed organisational and problem solving skills.  You also have:

  • Ability to create and deliver presentations

  • Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative and strive for excellence
  • Well developed organizational and time management skills; the ability to prioritise and manage several tasks concurrently

  • Qualification in nutrition and dietetics is essential
  • Eligible to work in Australia and have permanent residency

The role is 35 hours (home based from anywhere in Australia), we don’t work Friday afternoons. We offer a competitive remuneration package.
