Fixed Term Full Time Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Grade 1 dietitian to be based in one of 3 fixed-term full time positions (~6-12 months) within the Nutrition and Speech Pathology Department at Peter Mac, Melbourne.

We are seeking dietitians with some acute clinical experience in oncology (minimum of 12 months not including student placements), who are passionate about working in oncology, have demonstrated leadership skills, are hardworking, adaptable and have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. A structured and supportive supervision model is provided in addition to opportunities for professional development.

The successful applicants will provide evidence based specialised nutrition and dietetic services to inpatients and ambulatory patients in a multidisciplinary care setting at the Peter Mac Melbourne campus (and potentially support for Moorabbin and/or Box Hill campuses). This position is not linked with a specific clinical workload, however the successful applicant will work in/across major tumour streams, including head and neck, gastrointestinal and/or haematology, as negotiated within the department. This includes seeing patients across the entire trajectory including patients from all tumour streams and undergoing all types of cancer treatment. Support will be given to be involved in quality improvement, service development, education and research as negotiated within the department.

Applicants to this role should provide a covering letter outlining relative key skills and experience to assist us with our assessment. For further information about this opportunity and to apply, please go to the Peter Mac Careers page.
