Based in Sydney at the University of Wollongong I am currently in my 3rd year of Nutrition Dietetics after leaving a career with ABC radio as a news journalist to pursue greater aspirations. I am greatly passionate about all aspects of nutrition and the way we teach and communicate nutrition and health in the media. Looking for hands-on clinical experience with established dietitians or work within different organisations.
I am a former ABC news journalist and I am currently in my third year of Dietetics at the University of Wollongong. As I am coming towards the end of my degree I am really keen to start getting some hands-on experience working with dietitians in any capacity whether it be in private practice, hospitals, aged care, or public health etc.
I am very good at dealing with people from all walks of life with warmth, empathy and humour. I work well under pressure and can multi-task and I’m always enthusiastic.
This year I worked on the Australian Dietitians Association’s Healthy Weight Week Campaign rewriting their website and their social media strategy and I was interviewed in their national newsletter about my transition from journalism into dietetics.
