About the position

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine invites applications from qualified candidates interested in joining the Nutrition and Dietetics discipline as an Assistant Professor on a full-time basis for the position of theme lead of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics.

The position will contribute to teaching, learning, research and community engagement of the Nutrition and Dietetics program. Under the leadership of senior academic staff, the successful candidate will also contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics Practice program, undergraduate nutrition subjects, supervise the clinical and/or industry research activities of nutrition and dietetics students, and teach across the breadth of nutrition and dietetics with emphasis dependent on area of specialty, ideally in the clinical nutrition and dietetics domain.

This position will commence in May 2019.

About the person:
The successful candidate will be an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) or be eligible for accreditation as a Nutritionist and/or Dietitian in Australia. The candidate will also typically hold a Doctoral qualification. They will have a track record of effective teaching, learning, research and academic administration within the higher education sector. Advanced Accredited Practicing Dietitian (AdvAPD) recognition is desirable.

Remuneration for this appointment will commence at $112 778 plus 9.5% Superannuation per annum.  Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees.
