I completed a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Newcastle and am an Accredited Practicing Dietitian. I am currently working in a Generalist Dietitian role which includes the acute and community setting. As a part of this role I work at Gloucester Solders Memorial Hospital, Wingham Rehabilitiation Hospital, Forster and Taree Community Centre and complete home visits under Transitional Aged Care. I have gained experience managing a varied clinical workload including respiratory disease, liver disease, wound healing and infection, oncology- chemotherapy, radiotherapy and palliative management, diabetes – type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes, chronic kidney disease and haemodialysis, pancreatitis, malnutrition, mental health and surgical procedures – gastrectomy. All of these areas are covered in an independent role with minimal supervision. This role also involves group nutrition education for example cardiac rehabilition and introducing solids for mothers groups. I have previously worked as a Clinical Dietitian at Manning Rural Referral Hospital on the general medicine ward. I previously worked for the Go4Fun program as a Nutrition Leader. In the private sector i gained experience with a wide range of clinical areas including cardiology, respiratory, diabetes – type 1 and type 2, weight gain and malnutrition, paediatrics, mental health, athletes and nutrient deficiencies. I also hold the Level 1 ISAK accreditation. In order to gain more experience i am willing to relocate.
